1982 Clos du Clocher Pomerol
Deep garnet core fading to a wide mahogany rim.
I liked this wine for its affordable price. It's hard to find value wines for 82, not to mention Pomerol of which 82 was a top vintage. Some cooked, stewed fruits on the nose, a bit stuffy, but generally a matured nose. The palette is good; ripe fruit, deep, long finishing. Not a wine with a lot of complexity but an enjoyable one, especially now the tannins hv all melted, dissolved & integrated with the wine, it's really enjoyable.
