1982 Marchesi di Barolo Barolo Riserva
This was one of the youngest in our Barolo versus Barbaresco tasting. It's a low end label, thus not performing was within expectations, after all the wine was served blind, thus the report was unbiased.
Extremely musty nose, not in a good way, and slightly oxidized.
Dry fruits on the palate, slightly off towards the end of life. These average wines produced in an average vintage just couldn't make it (however I had a 71 before and it was showing very well!)
