1982 Marques de Murrieta Reserva Rioja
MIDLIFE CRISIS?
I hardly drink aged Rioja, normally I either drink extremely aged Rioja like 50s or 60s, or all the young stuff in the early 2000s, so this was something in between. For the lack of terms I described it as midlife crisis with a question mark, or was it?
Not entirely, I see how well it may grow older from here. Nose of musty, sweet cherries and prunes. Palate was very high on acidity, loads of cherries and bright fruits, not even at midlife yet I guess! Still young and cheerful, no crisis!
