1983 Rieussec Sauternes
Was attending a Lafite vertical tasting, what would have wrapped up the grand finale? Obviously Lafite Rothschild’s own property Rieussec! However, the owner may not know that prior to 1984, this property was not owned by Barons de Rothschild. Anyway, I do enjoy this sweet Sauternes with very fresh fruits nose, almost honey and apricot. Content was with good acidity and a long fruity finish. Loads of great fruit flavor. A nice wrap up!
