1985 Bollinger Grande Annee Rose
Light orange pink color; lovely, light strawberry cream nose; tasty strawberry, cream, nutty palate with lime acidity; medium finish.
You love or you hate aged champagne... All aged champagne had a character of oxidized note, intensely oxidized, both on the nose and the palette. I loved the oxidation, like mushroom, leather, beautiful nose. When we compare to the Dom e Rose 96, this has got a lot more intensity and depth on the palette that makes the DP Rose 96 pale, sadly, an aged champagne beating a crisp young DP champagne is sad, but due credits given to a matured Bollinger Grand Annee Rose 85 that Dom Perignon can only dream about.
