1985 Brane Cantenac Margaux
HYBRID BORDEAUX/BURGUNDY
I had many vintages of Brane Cantenac, from the 50s, 60s, 70s... To 2003. I didn't understand why people didn't like it, was a very consistent Bordeaux wine. This vintage borders a Bordeaux and a burgundy. Nose of fragrance floral, coupled with tobacco leaves and forest freshness. Palette is predominantly red fruits, although light like a red cherry, possesses a burgundy character of lightness on the body, but with matured fruits of a typical Bordeaux. Great label.
