1985 Chateau Certan de May Pomerol
It was almost two years ago that I tasted this bottle, previously I rated 4 stars but it was really due for upgrade, and I thought it has improved quite a fair bit, to be more rounded and thicker in flavor.
Nose was filled with excessive amount of elegant smoke, with loads of dark berries as well. Palate was very ripe and rounded, smooth and well integrated tannins. Enjoyed every sip of this Pomerol gem coming from a great vintage.
