1985 Chateau Clinet Pomerol

Clinet, I must confess this label is a bit on a roller coaster performance. Having tasted 61, 70, 82, 85, 89, 98, 00 (and some young vintages I have forgotten), it performed unpredictably. On a good vintage (eg 61 & 89) it was like a shining star, otherwise it's better to be buried (eg 82). 85 is a ripe vintage, Clinet shined. Both nose & palette with ripe strawberries, extremely forward. I love the charm of it, very mellow and elegant rich. So, buyers beware.
