This was the first time in my life tasting a Chateau Fombrauge from St Emilion, a totally unknown label to me after drinking decades of Bordeaux! Did some research and realized that Bernard Magrez (owner of Pape Clement) bought over the chateau in 1999, good pick! A whiff and the seductive nose has attracted my attention. I was really impressed with the content, very seductive palette, good and intense fruits, very jammed packed, lively and pleasant. Coming from a great vintage, it really deserved good attention.
