1985 Chateau Palmer Margaux
OVERLOOKED
This vintage is often overlooked as just being above average by critics but i think people should pay more attention to it. Nose was fruit smoky and filled with cedar wood. It showed some complexity with hints of spice, mint and leather. Palate had very juicy red fruits with mouthwatering balance and finish that made me fall in love with this vintage.

ONE OF THE BEST IN 1985 I have drank a lot of Bordeaux 1985, there're a few undisputed champions, namely Pavie, Lynch Bages. I don't recall any first growth showing outstanding performance. Palmer has a lot of charm. I never had it blind against other wines, but I do have faith this label is easily the top 3 in 85. Nose of barnyard, fragrance. A really rich and lush wine, extremely forward, albeit slightly acidic and sour (probably due to provenance), other than that it's seriously one of the best.
