1985 La Conseillante Pomerol
MIND BLOWING
In an 85 Bordeaux lineup of mainly , a Cheval Blanc Saint Emilion and this La Conseillante which was the only Pomerol, it totally stood out as a clear Wine of the Night. I'm going to feature this bottle in my known best of the best Bdx 85 against Lynch Bages, Barton, Pavie! Lots of Pomerol characters here on the nose; coffee, hay, straw, mint, eucalyptus. Totally mind blowing balance on the palate, along with superb elegance. This is a first growth standard!

You can tell now that I am a big Pomerol fan. La Conseillante has the real good finesse, good fruit, and forwardness to make this vintage a heavy weight. Try it to believe.
