1985 Leoville Poyferre Saint Julien
Nose: Very lovely nose that has a tart red fruit base and tones of red currants, red cherries, cedar, red florals and some tobacco tones.
Subdued fruits, it really requires a lot of btl age to show it's beauty. I think it has matured fairly quickly lately. The fruits are very forward, juicy & big that u can almost chew on it. There is a bit of green note on this wine, and the finishing is a bit fading, which is very typical of an 85 left bank, but while it lasts, it's still a good pleasure to drink this gem.
