1985 Louis Jardot Chevalier Montrachet Les Demoiselles Grand Cru
CONFUSING BOUNDARIES
Les Demoiselles had a really confusing boundary, some are premiere cru, some belonged to the Grand Cru Chevalier Montrachet, thus it's really difficult to ensure the provenance of the grapes coming from the Grand Cru plot, like this Chevalier Montrachet.
Was fun tasting such old school classic white burg; nose of strong butter, faint oak and later full blown caramel. Palate was sweet, elegant with low acidity. Very classic, not focused, typical scattered Puligny Montrachet style.
