1985 Pichon Baron Pauillac
I finally got home from France, and the first thing I do is to find a decent bottle of wine in my cellar to drink. After so many crappy wines, I absolutely enjoyed this bottle. The kind of elegant smokey tobacco nose that reminds me of a Latour; while the palette pleases me with caressing sweetness mingled with seductive vanilla with depth and length. One really has to drink crappy wines to appreciate good wines like these, absolutely awesome second growth that satisfied me completely.
