1986 Georges Roumier Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru Les Amoureuses
KILLER NOSE, BUT .....
Roumier Armoureuses, the combination of Roumier with this premier cru plot, along with the vintage of 86, will even chase away somebody who offered a young Rousseau Chambertin. No doubt it was really difficult to get hold of, and rightfully every one treated it as a gem.
But, this was burgundy... Superb nose of violet and floral, absolutely #1! The palate was a letdown, tight and tannic, although it didn't feel like a weak vintage, still let me down very much on the palate.
