1986 Pichon Lalande
I was expecting this wine to perform quite well above the rest as it is known as a powerful vintage. Did not disappoint, lots of things happening inside the glass!
The nose gave off pencil lead, floral notes, blackcurrant, blackberries, spice and vanilla. The palate for me though was not as impressive as the 1983. It was a mix of black fruits, white pepper and was a bit woody. A great wine!
