1989 E. Guigal Cote Rotie Brune & Blonde de Guigal
Again double blind test. I must admit I hardly drink Rhone wines, especially aged ones, so I was totally off with this one. Loads of deep dark tea leaves initially on the nose, and turned extremely smoky later with slight tobacco and turn eucalyptus eventually. I get red fruits like red berries and cherries, elegance with slightly elevated acidity, quite an interesting wine.
