1989 Pichon Baron Pauillac
GREAT PLEASURE
It’s an understatement to say this bottle drinks better than my last Sunday’s Latour 89. Perhaps it’s more ready and slightly earlier maturity. It provides tremendous pleasure.
Upon decanting, I have been observing the evolution for 2 hours. Initially elegant smoke, then light fruits, morphing into intense ripe fruits, ended with subdue nose. Palate also keeps evolving; from slightly dirty to boot, turned light fruits, then blossom into full flavor lush, rich and ripe fruits. Excellent!
