1990 Bouchard Pere & Fils Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
MONTRACHET FLIGHT 2/4
In a crazy night, our friend did some crazy lineup of 4 Grand Crus, of which 3 were Montrachet, the most prized label in the pyramid of Puligny Montrachet, plus a bottle of Chevalier Montrachet, just to stir things up. Guess what, this top vintage was my second least favorite of the 4!
Weird nose, very soapy, and some strawberries (not common for white burgundies). It was the least flavorful amongst the 4, in fact, it tasted younger than the Montrachet siblings! Still deserves 5*!
