1990 Bouchard Pere & Fils Montrachet Grand Cru

In a crazy night, our friend did some crazy lineup of 4 Grand Crus, of which 3 were Montrachet, the most prized label in the pyramid of Puligny Montrachet, plus a bottle of Chevalier Montrachet, just to stir things up. Guess what, this top vintage was my least favorite of the 4!
Nose of cheesy character, something like Gouda, plus a bit of onion.
Palate was not very rich, but with fresh acidity, broad flavor from cheek to cheek, and the layer was awesome.
