1990 Chateau d'Yquem Lur Saluces Sauternes
DAY 2 INT'L VIVINO CHAPTER nnAgain served blind, but not difficult to guess it was a Sauternes from the color and the nose+palette. Surprisingly very sharp acidity, coupled with loads of toffee and sweets on the nose. The palette is very balanced, extremely rich, extreme apricot character, extremely creamy and a touch of orange rind. Extremely complex with tons of layers, and long finishing. Thanks to Jack Madrid for this wonderful bottle! Last bottle of the day and to be continued at night!
