1990 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
LEFLAIVE GRAND CRUS Served blind. A superb GC from a superb vintage, A decent GC from a great vintage, An average GC from an average vintage, and lastly a superb GC from a poor vintage. This blind started off really well, and captured my attention fully. The best of the four Leflaive initially, although my heart finally went to the Bienvenues Batard Montrachet. Very big & rich but elegant nose. Body is extremely elegant and feminine, very rich and enjoyable. Gets thinner towards the end. Scenario #1.
