CORK TAINT
Cork taint was the most irritating phenomenon in wine drinking, but it was inevitable as it's a natural process. Probably the only way to avoid it was to use screw caps, but it wasn't proven that it could age wines as gracefully as natural corks.
Dry or wet cupboard was the most obvious character on the nose. Some people claimed it caused sinus to react vigorously with corked wines but I'm quite immune to it and I was still able to evaluate the content. This one had extreme sweet cherries.
