1990 Leoville Las Cases Saint Julien Clos Du Marquis
A lot of sweet ripe cassis in the bouquet. Toasted luxurious oak. Same on the palate. Firm acidity and good tannin. Harmonious and very youthful wine.
Normally I don't like anything associated with Leoville Las Cases, but I was pleasantly surprised by this vintage, extremely pleasant, balanced & friendly, great finesse too. Kudos to my disliked vineyard!
