1990 Marchesi Antinori Tignanello
DUBIOUS VINTAGE
It was acclaimed that 1990 Super Tuscan was a great vintage, so I can't wait to get hold of a bottle of Tignanello to try. My frank opinion? Half cheated.
Mushrooms and burned wood encapsulated my nose. Body was a bit cool, like a cool Chinese herbal medicine that tried to cool down your overheated body temperature, a bit dirty, a bit soiled. 70% reminiscent of a Bordeaux but really totally cannot compare to the great Bordeaux 1990 vintage, which was one of the greatest IMO.
