1990 Piper Heidsieck Millesime Rare Brut
GOLDEN HONEY
Pouring this out from the bottle felt like pouring liquid gold into the glass. Being 27 year old Champagne, some of the CO2 already dissolved, leaving a still looking aged white wine. But once tasted, the fizz is definitely still there.
First whiff wa a nose full of honeycomb and baked apple. It was yeasty with a lot of sweet smelling fruits. But the palate was another level. It was extremely smooth like buttermilk that coated my mouth, with notes of baked apple, honey and slightly nutty.
