1991 M. Chapoutier Cote Rotie La Mordoree
WASTING TIME
Another RP100 so called perfect wine, and yet another disappointment particularly served right after Guigal's La Mouline 83.
On the nose, swimming pool chlorine, funky nose, clinical, slight oxidation and full of iron.
Palate was quite weak, extremely dry, orange zest, very prune, still relatively tannic, although it did improve in the glass over time, turned more mellow and approachable after a while.
Suspect the provenance and condition of this bottle poor.

RP100, TWICE IN A ROW
I was lucky enough to taste this wine twice, within a month's timeframe. This was rated as a perfect 100 pointer wine by Parker, but both tastings (tasted blind), I don't think it deserved 100 points. Possessing a smokey nose, almost bacon like, extremely fruity, and green (like grass).
Palate was extremely rich, a big and broad style, quite acidic and sour, it was slightly diluted which implies it wasn't from a top notch vintage and doesn't deserve the RP100 status.
