1993 Domaine Leflaive Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes

Although Leflaive was a big name, it didn’t mean it’ll consistently perform. On an average vintage like 93, this Combettes was quite average. Nose was quite mild, with some floral fragrance. Palate was ripe, slightly overpowering and also slightly premox which was quite surprising as premox usually occurred after 95.
虽然拉菲勒酒庄是个大名气的白葡萄酒庄，但是不代表他们可以年进年出的出色的表现。这个一般般的年份他们的产品也一般般。很淡的鼻香，带有一点花香。内容很成熟，有点过头的劲而且惊讶的是有点氧化。通常氧化问题出现于95年后产的白葡萄酒，所以我有点不明白这个氧化是怎么来的。

Eleven Shades of Combettes 9/11
I didn't expect that there were more than 11 producers producing Combettes in Puligny Montrachet, not to mention we have a lineup of 11 bottles tonight, all from different producers! Speechless for my limited white burgundy knowledge. Surprisingly Leflaive Combettes underperformed in this tasting, and my take was that 93 was not a great vintage. Nose of aged tobacco and slight butter. Palate started off mildly and then the butter grew on intensity to become very pronounced
