1993 Pernard & Laurent Pillot Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Grandes Ruchottes
This Grands Ruchottes was my first ever wine from Chassagne Montrachet, never even heard of this plot before, not to mention tasting it. Pillot family also a big producer in Chassagne, so they’re all over Chassagne. This rare bottle smelled funky and even cheesy. Palate was ultra ripe, a big wine all by itself, however it fell short of expectations by tasting really short on the finishing. Well, still a great experience!
