1994 Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles St Jacques
UNIQUE PLOT (AT LEAST TO ME)
I have never come across Estournelle St Jacques, so this was my first bottle from this appellation. Quite a decent wine as I was having low expectations. Actually typical nose and palette of red burgundies, with subtle difference. First, very balanced wine, surprisingly coming from a 94 vintage. Apart from slightly elevated acidity, the wine is in harmony, good fruits (more of strawberries), good tannin level and good balance and typical burgundy nose.
