Opus One is a joint venture between two giants, Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild. Character is similar to Bordeaux wines. So we tests drinkers, put this bottle as ringer inside a lineup of 6 other blind Bordeaux wines. Can we catch it?
Effortlessly most got it right, the giveaway is usually the nose; strong medicinal and clinical, very good nose though. Palate was mediocre; dry, tannic and very sour, not at all exciting. Bordeaux drinks much much more better.
