1994 Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Blanchot
BAD VINTAGE?
94 wasn't exactly a great vintage for Chablis, but please bear in mind the maker is Raveneau, even a weak vintage it'll still turnaround like flipping apple pies!
Nose of weak floral, orange rind & peel initially, at later stage I had spearmint. The palate was initially weak; thin and insufficient fruits. But if you wait a bit longer, everything changed! Turned out to be oily and flavorful when it was warmed up. Although it didn't turn extraordinary but the evolution spoke of quality.
