1995 Haut Brion Pessac Leognan
BORDEAUX 1995 REVISIT
Hosted a dinner with top quality Bordeaux 95 to see how it has evolved 20 years on. Overall it looks like it's a St Emilion vintage, as the top 3 goes to 1. Angelus 2. Figeac 3. Haut Brion. But my #1 favorite was Pichon Baron.
Extremel earthy nose, slowly evolved into spice and turned smokey 45 mins mark. Elegant but slightly dry, long finish and layered. It held the longest in the glass in a flight of 3. I was spot on with this label (all wines were served semi blind), a given.
