SOUTHERN BEAUTY
Not many southern French whites really impressed me, I quite like JL Chave Hermitage Blanc, and not many other choices. This was served blind, I struggled to identify which part of Rhone it came from, as well as the vintage.
Surprising nose of a field of oranges and mandarin oranges, totally threw me off. Palate was light, but I loved the lively and dancing characters, a focused wine, wasn't thick or waxy enough to be a Southern Rhone, which left me the northern Rhone choice. Very good!
