1995 Mas de Daumas Gassac Rouge

This was the most Bordeaux alike wine that's not produced in Bordeaux. All those Italian IGT or Napa clone wasn't close enough, oftentimes the giveaway was either the nose or the palette. This MDDS was a replica. I would aptly put this 95 in line with a 4th growth.
Good nose, very fruit driven and a tinch of herb. I really enjoyed the content, extremely pleasant and approachable, mainly a blend of all sorts of dark fruits: blueberry, black currant ... Etc. For the price, good QPR.

Crisp fruit and tannins to the fore. It is delicious and invigorating. Fruity flavors with tertiary aromas, in which hints of dried roses, woodland moss, truffles.
This is extrtremely Bordeaux like except for the nose!
