Smith Haut Lafitte was an up and coming vineyard, the quality improved tremendously since the Cathiard family took over. 1990 was a start, and the pinnacle was achieved in 2009.
The 1995 was very terrior driven, I can smell the Graves character from a street away, as the earthly tone was extremely prominent. Similarly, the palate was also earthly, very fruity and still extremely tannic, I think it'll take another decade to mellow down, no hurry to drink up!
