Chevalier Montrachet Grand Cru
An aged Chevalier Montrachet of 26 years old, this gotta be a treat! I had two bottles of this wine over a span of one year, the last bottle was easily forgotten, as it did not possess the same profile of this bottle at all. Today’s bottle was simply beyond words, so stunning that even my friend who drank a lot of DRC Montrachets over his drinking lifespan was stunk by the content! First off, we got lucky, it wasn’t a premox bottle, phew! Next up, 1996 was a great vintage for white burgundies, so we’re in luck. The wine was so energetic, it displayed a very grown up man with all the right muscle and build in every aspect, full of energy, dense and concentrated, extremely great pleasure.
