1997 Armand Rousseau Chambertin Grand Cru
For Chambertin, there is Rousseau, then there is everybody else. I can testify to this statement. After the whole night of all sorts of Gevrey Chambertin, nothing comes close to this wine, Bouchard Chambertin 89 tried but was not good enough. The nose was so good immediately garnered 5 stars from me. Palette was soft, elegant, silky, fragile, purity, clear, refined. The most important takeaway for this wine is it's clean style, like a very pretty, pure and innocent lady. Awesome, speechless.
