1997 Cos d'Estournel Saint Estephe
15 LITRE GIANT
My generous friend in Thailand invited me over to have a wine party for his birthday party at the beach side house, and shocked me with a 15 litre Cos d’Estournel. The format is called Nebuchadnezzar. Despite the not so great vintage, serving from a Nebuchadnezzar was a totally different experience. Fresh as if it was only bottled last year. I would expect it to be totally diluted but it was nowhere near dilution. Milk chocolate and latte dominated the palate. I must have drank at least 1/5!
