1997 Louis Carillon & Fils Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Grand Cru
We had a White Burgundy Grand Cru tasting this afternoon. Totally awesome to host this event, extremely rare to have such a tasting. As a host, I'm proud.
This was the first bottle being served. Sommelier knows how to arrange the flight to satisfy us. It didn't really impressed us, with nose of salty, sweaty, very nutty and later honeycomb and honeysuckle. A bit too flat, fruits are struggling to stay alive, very evolved, wouldn't say it was premox or advanced maturity but certainly not very impressive.
