1997 Marchesi Antinori Solaia Toscana
STRONG GRIP
I'm rating this wine with potential, for those of you who thinks this wine is ready for consumption, please don't uncork the bottle, it requires another 10 years of cellaring.
Nose was quite elegant with no choking overpowered super Tuscan style. Problem was the palate, apart from very approachable fruits, the wine had too much big style tannins, and the tannins were like F1 car tyre, extremely strong grip. I must have applied emergency brake a couple of times tonight! Bazaar!
