1998 Blain Gagnard Criots Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru

Fontaine Gagnard made the best Criots Batard Montrachet in Burgundy, that's my opinion, although there are some good makers for CBM too. Blain Gagnard was related to Fontaine Gagnard (sister of Laurence Fontaine Gagnard), but whether they shared winemaking skills is beyond me.
This CBM 98 was superb, as good as FG's CBM. it uses moderate oak with Riesling fragrances. Superb elegance on the body, speechless on the elegance and balance. I'd always love CBM for the elegance and this is apex!
