DECENT RIGHT BANK 不错的右岸酒
Bear in mind that this was a great vintage for right bank Bordeaux. This simple label can easily outrun most second growth from left bank. Decanted for over an hour, surprised me with very strong smoky character and dark fruits. Palate was light dark fruits and mellow, not very complex but east drinking and pleasant.
1998 年是个很好的波尔多右岸年份，这款苏塔来自圣艾美伦的产区可以跟任何左岸的波尔多并肩齐名，而且可能超出二级庄的状态(我就曾经拿雄狮来PK，根本不是对手）。醒酒了一个小时左右，扑鼻而来的竟然是强劲的烟熏味和浓厚的黑味道。内容虽然不是很复杂，但是容易喝，很顺口。主要是轻松的黑加伦果味和完全融化的单宁。

I realized that many drinkers didn't know that 1998 Bordeaux right bank was a great vintage, thus I organized a tasting of some left and right bank Bordeaux wines, it proved to be an eye opener, right bank unknown labels overwhelmed left bank top labels. No reason to buy 98 left bank wines! Truly good value for money type of wine. Initially the wine was tight and tannic, red fruits driven, bold yet simple, a rich wine with cooked strawberries. Held on its own very well. Great stuff!

1998 IS A RIGHT BANK VINTAGE...
I bought this wine for its vintage. As you probably know, 1998 is a Bordeaux right bank vintage, producing some phenomenal wines. I am persuaded, even with a lowly rated Soutard did not disappoint. The massive tannins and the big chunky fruits were present, looks like a wine that can age for a few decades without any difficulties. Surprisingly it came with elegance and pleasantness. I really think it is value for money.
