In memory of the war legend, Pol Roger honored him by putting his name on the champagne itself. It was still a fascinating champagne, the 98 was displaying oxidation and age on the nose, while the body was intense, reductive, very aged, perhaps a bit older than it should be, nevertheless a very enjoyable champagne.
为了纪念邱吉尔对战争的贡献和对香槟的爱好，宝禄爵把邱吉尔的名字放在标签上。不可否认这个香槟的确很好，这款98年带有氧化和陈年的香味，而且内容非常浓厚澎湃，浓缩的香槟很吸引我，很陈年，虽然喝起来感觉上比98年份老，但是完全不阻碍我欣赏这瓶香槟，非常棒！没有喝过陈年的香槟你就不会知道它的吸引力！

I had the pleasure to drink a Krug 98, a Selosse 98 and this Winston Churchill 98 over the last 12 months, and I now had a better opinion amongst the three, and my ranking would be Selosse as the best, Winston Churchill next, Krug was last.
Pretty interesting nose of light yeast and apple tart. Palate was a decent balance of richness and mousse (certainly very different compared to 2002 which was extremely muscular). Enjoyed the slightly oxidative style.
