1999 Chateau Palmer Margaux
LONG ROAD AHEAD
If I was served this blind in a glass, I wouldn't have thought it to be a 1999. It looked too young and that made me excited to try it. Nose of blackcurrant and blueberry, a fruit bomb compared to the other vintages, cedar wood with liquorice and spice complementing. Palate had black fruits with integrated tannins and long finish. Still a long way to go!
