1999 Hubert Rougeot Meursault
WEIRD MEURSAULT
This is the weirdest Meursault I have ever come across. I brought this to pair with some Thai food as I think it should go with crab cakes and fish cakes. Turned out to be the food is trying to go along with the wine! Nose of unripe green mangoes (sounds perfect with Thai food huh?). Palette is exactly unripe green mango, a bit stemmy (think the stems from the grapes). Even though it literally melts in my mouth upon entry probably due to age, still I have never drank a Meursault like this!
