2000 Barde Haut St Emilion Grand Cru
VALUE FOR MONEY
This was an absolute value for money wine based upon a great vintage of 2000 from Bordeaux. There isn't really great stuff from a great vintage, it can be good but expensive, or it can be cheap but lousy. I unashamedly introduced you this great gem.
Nose of coffee and dark chocolate (almost smelled like a Margaux but with greater intensity). Palate was really fruity, primarily dark fruits. I could have mistaken this as a Pomerol. It's at it's prime drinking window right now.
