2000 Grand Puy Lacoste Pauillac
1990 OR 2000?
As you know, Bordeaux 1990 and 2000 were both great vintages, and I have awarded Grand Puy Lacoste 1990 as a 5 stars label, totally mind blowing and awesome. How did this 2000 fare?
Nose of elegant pencil lead shaving, displaying really fine oaks being used. Mouth fill was very impressive, with great balance and superb finesse that punched way above any fifth growth from 2000 I knew of. I won't keep you suspended with no answer, I still prefer the 1990 as I found this 2000 with a bit acidic.
