Was having a casual dinner with some friends, and an acquaintance brought 2 bottles of this wine to dinner, great, heard a lot about it but never had a chance to try!
Quite good! Living up to its claim! Very spicy nose, but also mellow, strong medicinal character too.
I was surprised at the elegance of this CDP, really mellow and rich, deep, spicy, good potential, totally not overpowering unlike most CDP. A must try and must buy type of wine. Wait till I hit you with the 2001 version next.
