2001 Chateau Nenin Pomerol
EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE
Many people knew Bordeaux 2001 was a decent vintage, but not many actually knew that Pomerol 2001 in Bordeaux was an exceptional vintage, well deserving a five star vintage.
This average Pomerol label did exceptionally well, well above my expectations. Nose of dark fruits, content was superb with just a sip: soft, elegant ripe fruits was really enjoyable, with a tinch of coffee beans. Soft tannins were still lurking around implying the wine can still age. I was really pleased.
